Happy New Year from Undiscovered Pathways! WOW! The year 2025 went fast!!! Here is a little synopsis of what went on!
January
We started the year with our fantasy football party. For all the people who play the game of fantasy football, you know that it is a cultivation of 17 or 18 weeks of football, smack talk, and hopefully celebrate their wins instead of agonize their losses! Unfortunately, Mother Nature won this one as she deposited a snow and ice storm in our area!! Next year, we will try again!!
March
In March, I signed up my youngest granddaughter for pottery classes at the local sculpture park. It ran for 5 weeks and while she created art, I got some peaceful exercise checking out the sculptures! The peaceful time rejunevates the body and clears the mind. You can think up new blogging ideas!!
April
In April, my son gave me free tickets to a Bob Seger/Billy Joel Tribute Concert. I took my eldest granddaughter and as I stepped back in time with the music, she enjoyed her first concert. Although she didn’t know the Bob Seger songs, she definitely knew the Billy Joel songs! It was a great memory that we created and will always cherish.
May
I have always been one to go out and do things for family celebrations so Mother’s Day was no exception. This year was special as we went axe throwing and had lunch as a family. I quickly found out that I am not a skilled axe thrower! It is always nice to have your family around you no matter what you do!
Also in May, my daughter and I took in the Pompeii Exhibition at the local science center. It was great seeing the exhibits and it brought back great memories of when we traveled abroad and saw the ruins of Pompeii in person.

June
The summer arrived with a trip to Orange Beach, Alabama with both of the granddaughters. We drove down to Alabama with a stop overnight at a LaQuinta Inn. They were not a fan of the hotel. When you do a lot of traveling, there are some good and bad hotels and let me just say that I have stayed in worse!
We were checking out Orange Beach for a family vacation. We saw the beach, activities and we saw something that we haven’t seen before: jellyfish!! For the full blog post, check out below:

September
I am starting a National Parks blogging series that will start in January. In September, we went to the Mighty 5 national parks in Utah and added a couple of Colorado national parks to the trip! Absolutely breathtaking parks in two beautiful states. Stay tuned for the blogs on those parks and other national parks.

October
I walked (not a runner) my first 5K with a Halloween theme. Started a new job in October and finished the previous job in early December. We went to a Chiefs game at the end of December with no players hurt and got a win!
Remainder of the Year
The year 2025 was amazing, however, it went quick!! As we approach 2026, my goal is consistent travel and blogging throughout the year. A wish for everyone is to have a healthy and happy 2026 and may all your dreams come true!
Just remember in relation to your goals:
