Loved the Best of Beantown 🫖 in Windy, Boston Massachusetts!

Headed into Boston for a couple of days and boy was it breezy!!

Boston’s Hop On Hop Off Trolley Tour

On Day 1, we took a ‘Hop On Hop Off Tour All Day’ tour. These are great tours to take to see what the town has to offer before you plan your time. The tour was on a trolley through the Olde Town Trolley where you can see out the windows through the trolley stops. There was 13 out of 15 stops with 2 stops closed due to construction.

The trolley takes you through the North End, Charlestown, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Boston Common, and the Seaport District. We got off at Stop #8 Cheers Bar. For those of you not familiar with the Cheers television show, the bar was the focal point of the show and memories flood back from the show once you walk through the door. It was a great place to have lunch and to soak up the memorabilia.

Boston’s Freedom Walking Trail

On Day 2, we took 2 tours that are stops on the trolley tour. In the morning, we took the ‘Boston Freedom Trail Walking Tour with Costumed Guide’. The tour guide gave a great tour with laughable humor and the tour wasn’t the entire length of the Freedom Trail so the walking wasn’t excessive.

Boston’s Tea Party Ship

The afternoon tour was the ‘Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum’ in the Seaport District. The tour takes you through the events that led up to the event of the tea being dumped in Boston Harbor. The tour starts off with the town meeting that decides the action to dump the tea in the harbor. You then continue to the ship and and you have an option to ‘practice’ dumping tea.

The tour continues into the museum for some interactive exhibits. This tour is fun and it is more interactive than other tours especially in the town meeting and on the ship.

These 3 activities are only a small fraction of activities that Boston has to offer. If you get a chance to visit Boston, I would plan at least 3 days to really get a feel for the city. If you go in late September, dress warm and bring a scarf 🧣!!
